Your website is your business card
On thursday we had a speaker all the way from Ghana who teach us how to make attractive website. Website is your first digital impression and you want to make sure it’s a great one. First of all have to understand the user's behaviour. Why and what for the user needs our website. Always think from the perspective of your users. Everything should be easy to find, not overly complicated and cluttered. Every website experience has to be designed specifically to solve a problem in the most effective and user-centric manner. When I think about myself as a surfing online and looking for some new information, I will only use some seconds to find it or otherwise if I don't see that website useful or pleasant to use so I will just swap a page. Time management is crucial and once landing on webpage, visitors are really impatient to get the job done.I do not want to waste my time if the information is not found quickly. All information must be easily accessible and discoverable. In fact, I would considering including web pages as clear as possible. The hole complex should be carefully thought out. Visuality, colors and layout as well as clarity are the most important in my opinion. The exclusive focus is on content, structure, flow and functionality without other visuals to distract the eye. This is why good usability is important.

The main goal
Defining goals for website helps you determine exactly who your target audience is, what their challenges are, and what they feel important.Clearly defined goals help you to understand how effective your site actually is. Setting goals will defenetly help a lot to achieve objectives. Goals should be relevant to the overall objective of the business. By having a clear idea of your goals, you can determine what is essential for the new website. Here I have a list which I see and learn are important making a new webpage.
User-Friendly:
Websites with an intuitive design, and with images and aspects that are pleasing to the eye are going to attract more.
Good design:
Fresh and up-to-date with easy-to-read text and colors, Brightly lit and clean.
Updated news, content and copyright dates assure folks that your business is alive and well.
Simple navigation:
Clear, consistent and easy-to-follow navigation that helps visitors find what they looking for.
How easy it is for people to take action and move around your website.
Fullscreen videos as Background:
Websites with fullscreen background videos that play upon opening the URL are really good.
Have a look at my home page.
Easy to read:
Good language skills and clear font size is an important, and the colors have to harmonize with each other.
Share everything you learn:
Give behind the scenes accounts of your latest site features, start a newsletter or blogging and you'll get more than you give.
Support:
Provide 24×7 customer self-service through the use of frequently asked questions (FAQs), support knowledge-base and online chat.

Content
Website must focus on visitors’ interests and address the question of what’s in it for them and how to improve their businesses and lives. Design needs to, quickly and efficiently, communicate what website is about and demonstrate how it can add value to the user. When your content is highly readable, your audience is able to quickly digest the information you share with them,
a worthy goal to have for your website, whether you run a blog, an e-store or your company's domain. You must have a compelling logo and graphical theme with stylish brand to bring the necessary authority. Also I would make sure that the site is sleek, and not forgetting that it must also load quickly, beeasy to use and clearly legible. The site should support browsing phones as well as tablets. In addition, the user will easily see how web page ranks are currently viewing the site as a whole. Be sure to also update posts actively that will enhance your visitors and increase the visibility of social media and search engine rankings.
Checklist of the most important things: Intuitive web site
Strong and clear messages
Flexibility and efficiency of use The logical overall structure of the site
Limit functions rather than the user experience
Control, trust & explorability
And always tell stories
